Maintenance is normally only done when the aircraft is at a base. Maintenance can be done away from base if the aircraft is unlikely to make it back before 96%, or if the pilot requests it. Aircraft in maintenance will be unavailable for 24 hours. No aircraft should be flown when under a status of 96% without the agreement of a fleet manager or CEO.
